Knowledge connects

Science and research thrive from overcoming barriers. This is also particularly true of the Bavarian universities. For many years, they have been fostering close contacts with partner universities and research institutions in Central and Eastern Europe within the scope of a large number of initiatives. In addition to partnerships with colleges and universities, these also include active exchange programs for students and lecturers as well as a wide range of study courses majoring in Central and Eastern European themes accompanied by practical training and theses.

The Bavarian University Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe BAYHOST has taken on the task of improving the networking of existing contacts and competencies for teaching and research at Bavarian universities and in the partner countries, as well as for Bavarian industry, and of making the partnerships more beneficial.

Alongside the traditional training, further education and CPD courses provided by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chambers of Trades and Crafts, a large number of preparatory information events are also offered that focus specifically on countries in Central and Eastern Europe.
